The pursuit of success in life and business is often predicated by a single question, and importantly an answer to that question which leads to action.
In philanthropy, we do not often ask questions about how to make a larger impact through our work, financial resources in giving, and volunteerism.
The status quo is rarely challenged.
Without the pursuit of an answer, these questions and others will never be answered.
Without the question, no action will ever be taken.

Is leading change right for everyone?
Be prepared that One Question leads to more questions in pursuit of an answer. There are answers to each question we ask. However, solutions are often complex due to overlapping organizational reach, entrenched ideologies, personal and corporate power dynamics, government bureaucracy, financial implications, transactional relationships with donors, and proprietary thinking leading to deeper issues surrounding the projects, programs and institutions we are most passionate about impacting.
There is no easy fix. Leading change is rarely welcomed and pressure for staying the current course is immense. Change must have by its nature a long horizon to see success and big answers to big questions require systems reform and change, new leadership and innovative ideas with practical application.
